VOCE is a newly-formed quartet of men from the Rehoboth Beach area. At its inception, the group knew it wanted to sing SATB (soprano, alto, tenor & bass) music. This is unusual for most male quartets. Not for this group! Unlike other male quartets, VOCE features not only a counter tenor who sings in the female alto range, but a male sopranist which is a rare commodity in ANY group. Not even the King’s Singers has a male soprano! Chris’ and Jacques’ uniquely beautiful voices are balanced by the strong tenor and bass voices of Robert and Colin, creating a stunning array of vocal nuances. This newest iteration of Baroque2Broadway (the first was in December 2017, featuring both Jacques Wieciech and Chris Berg) highlights music about all sorts of love. Whether spiritual, romantic or animal love, this talented group will interpret music from the Renaissance & Baroque eras right through Broadway & opera, as well as classical & pop. You will hear the music of Purcell, Vivaldi, Mozart, and Schumann along with songs from Rent and South Pacific. There will even be some Sara Bareilles and Cyndi Lauper.
